Executive functioning skills allow a student to control impulses and emotions, be flexible, plan and organize. These skills are needed for learning and day-to-day behavior. The term" executive functioning" has become a buzz word in schools and psychology offices. It begins to show up in students in the elementary and can affect them into adulthood.
